Who we are

Time Reminder is a free browser tool that provides audible reminders at regular points throughout the hour. In this policy, "we," "us," and "Time Reminder" refer to the operator of this site.

Site operator: justy.dev.

Contact: You can reach us through our Contact page or at hello@timeremind.info.

Information we collect

We collect only what we need to run the site and improve it.

Information collected automatically

When you visit Time Reminder, our analytics and advertising partners and we automatically collect some technical and usage information, including:

  • IP address and approximate location (country or region)
  • Browser type, device type, operating system, and language
  • Pages you view and how you use the timer, such as reminder settings and when you start or stop using it
  • Referring site, date and time of visit, and session duration
  • Cookie and advertising identifiers, and (for personalized ads) inferred interests used to show relevant advertising

This is collected through Google Analytics and Google AdSense, as described below.

Information you give us directly

If you contact us, we may receive the information you choose to include in your message so we can read and reply to you.

Information from affiliate links

Some pages include Amazon affiliate links (see "Affiliate links" below). When you click one of those links, Amazon may set cookies and collect information under Amazon's own privacy policy. We do not receive your personal information from Amazon; we only receive a commission when a qualifying purchase is made.

What we do not collect

  • We do not create user accounts or require registration.
  • We do not collect payment information; any purchase happens on Amazon or another retailer's site.
  • We do not knowingly collect special-category data (such as health or biometric data).

How we collect information

  • Directly from you: information you choose to send through our contact page or email.
  • Automatically: cookies, similar technologies, and analytics scripts that load when you use the site.
  • From third parties: our analytics, advertising, and hosting providers, and Amazon (only in the form of affiliate referral data, not your personal details).

How we use information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide the timer and keep the site working.
  • Understand which guides and features are useful so we can improve them and fix what is confusing.
  • Measure site traffic and performance through Google Analytics.
  • Show relevant advertising through Google AdSense, including personalized ads based on your activity where permitted.
  • Reply to your messages and provide support.
  • Protect the site from abuse, errors, and fraud, and comply with legal obligations.

Where data-protection law applies, our processing may rely on the following legal bases. The applicable basis depends on the processing activity and your location.

  • Consent: we rely on your consent for non-essential cookies, analytics, and personalized advertising (where required, such as in the EU/UK).
  • Legitimate interests: we rely on our legitimate interest in operating, securing, and improving a free public tool for analytics aggregated at the site level and for security.
  • Communication: we use information you send through our contact page or email to respond to your request.
  • Legal obligation: we may process data where the law requires it.

Data sharing and third parties

We share information with a small set of service providers:

  • Google LLC — Google Analytics (usage measurement) and Google AdSense (advertising). Google processes this data under its own privacy policy. See Google's Privacy Policy and the Google Ads Settings.
  • Our hosting provider — website hosting and delivery.
  • Amazon Associates — affiliate links. Amazon tracks referrals under its own policy; we earn a commission on qualifying purchases.
  • Our contact channel — messages sent through our contact page or email so we can reply.
  • Legal authorities — where required by law or to protect our rights and users.

We do not sell your personal information for money. Note, however, that using personalized advertising through Google may be considered a "sale" or "sharing" of personal information under some US state laws (such as California's CPRA). You can opt out as described below.

International data transfers

Our service providers may process information in the United States and other countries. Those providers use their own safeguards and policies for international processing. You can review Google's and Amazon's privacy information through the links above.

Data retention

We keep information only for as long as needed for the purposes described here:

  • Analytics data is retained according to the Google Analytics settings configured for this site.
  • Messages sent through our contact page or email are kept only as long as needed to handle your request, then deleted.
  • Advertising and cookie data are handled under Google's retention terms.

Your rights and choices

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or port your personal data, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent. These rights and how you exercise them vary by jurisdiction.

  • Analytics and advertising controls: you can manage or disable cookies through our consent controls (where shown) and through your browser. For Google, use the Google Ads Settings and My Ad Center.
  • Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information: We use Google AdSense, whose personalized advertising may be considered a "sale" or "sharing" of personal information under California (CPRA) and similar US state laws. You can opt out through our link, which opens Google's opt-out dialog for applicable US state residents. The link appears only where required by law.
  • Contact us: to exercise any right, use our Contact page or email hello@timeremind.info. We will respond within the timeframe required by law.

Cookies and tracking

We and our partners use cookies and similar technologies to:

  • Operate the site (essential cookies).
  • Measure usage (Google Analytics).
  • Show advertising (Google AdSense, including personalized ads).

In regions that require it (such as the EU and UK), we will ask for your consent before setting non-essential cookies for analytics and personalized advertising. Where required, Google's consent management controls determine whether non-essential processing is enabled.

Affiliate links

Time Reminder participates in the Amazon Associates program and other affiliate programs. Some links to products are affiliate links, which means we may earn a commission if you buy through them, at no extra cost to you. These links are editorial and do not influence how Time Reminder works. Amazon and any other retailer handles your purchase and data under its own privacy policy.

Security

We use reasonable measures to protect information, including HTTPS encryption in transit, access controls, and reputable hosted infrastructure. No website can guarantee perfect security, and you use the site at your own risk.

Children's privacy

Time Reminder is intended for general audiences and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If our audience or applicable law changes, we will update this section and our practices as needed.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as our practices or the law change. If we make material changes, we will post the updated policy here and update the "Last updated" date. Where required, we will provide additional notice or request consent for material changes.
